Location: On the junction of the D64, Rue de l'Église, and Chemin des Perruques. Siouville-Hague is on the west coast of the cotentin peninsular about 11 miles (17¾ kilometres south-west of Cherbourg.
22 year old Sergeant JOHN HUNTER, from a Handley Page Halifax Mk V, of 1663 Heavy Conversion Unit, Royal Air Force (flying out of RAF Rufforth on a training mission) in 1943.
5 of the crew are buried in Bayeux War Cemetery (Sergeants' ALLAN JOHN DUNN, HENRY HINETT, WILFRED JOHN PELHAM, DENNIS WILLIAM SUFFLING and ERIC FORD WILLIAMSON), 1 of the crew (Sergeant CLIVE RICHARD LEONARD THORNTON) in Barneville-Carteret (Barneville-sur Mer) Communal Cemetery and 1 of the crew (Sergeant D. C. BUTLIN) is buried in Saint-Hélier War Cemetery on the Channel Island of Jersey.
