Fallen Chaplains of Normandy


On 5th June 2018, a new exhibition was officially opened at the

Memorial Pegasus Museum

(Musée Mémorial Pegasus)

in Normandy France.


There were 58,000 visitors between 5th June and the end of December 2018.


This exhibtion was dedicated to all the chaplains who lost their lives

in Normandy during the Second World War.


Below are some of the information panels that formed part of the exhibition.





The Officiating Chaplain, The Reverend Dr Brutus Green CF,

2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, inaugurated the opening of the exhibition.


7th Parachute Battalion, Normandy Veteran, Ernie Stringer,

cut the ceremonial ribbon, to declare the exhibition open.




Normandy Veteran, Ernie Stringer who served with the 7th Parachute Battalion,

6th Airborne Division, with his son, grandson and great grandson.
