DONALD LIGHT was born on the 28th February 1921 at Thackley Old Road, Shipley, West Yorkshire. His mother died giving birth, so his mother's sister Hannah Light and Hyden Biltcliffe, took care of him and he adopted the name DONALD LIGHT BILTCLIFFE.1

 

 

The only known surviving photographs of DONALD LIGHT BILTCLIFFE,
left photograph taken when he was 12 years old.2
